  • If you watched my InstaStories a few weeks ago (they’re still on my highlights!) you’ll know that I did a 3-day juice cleanse with @pressedjuicery. I blogged about my experience & talked about weight loss, appetite, and whether or not I’d do it again. The link is in my bio!
  • Talking about my goals for the year and month, my word of the year and why I chose it, and everything in between on the blog today! Booksandbighair.com. 💕 What’s your word for this year?
  • I think capturing the essence of being a black Southern girl who loves God is something so specific that you have to experience it firsthand. It’s in the way we love, the way we pray, view nature, are in tune with our bodies and that inner voice. Before reading this book, @Beyoncé’s Lemonade visual was the only other thing that captured it for me. Calling My Name by @liaratamani is so lyrical, so beautiful and so captures that essence so perfectly. I highly recommend! 💚(& I’ll be reviewing it for @sesimag and my YouTube channel soon so subscribe to both if you haven’t already!)
  • Getting engaged, my farewell to @hbo, getting a literary agent, meeting Gucci Mane, and articles! 2017 was filled with blessings 🙌🏽 so excited to see the blessings 2018 has in store for me! (And you, too!)
  • I’m doing my very first juice cleanse with c/o @pressedjuicery. I figured after all of the yummy steak we had for Christmas and the countless bags of hot Cheetos, this would be a great way to reset for the new year. I’ll be doing a blog post about it, but in the meantime I’ll be posting on instastory and coping with a good book. Send prayers! 😂🙏🏽 #foodie
  • When you’re fiancé supports your notebook addiction! 🤗
